Obituary

Boyd Edison Sayre, 83, of Charleston, passed away Friday, November 14, 2008 at Specialty Select Hospital.

Boyd was preceded in death by his father, Perry Arthur Sayre, mother Lina Rogers, brothers, Ray, Arthur, Kelly and Hensford and sisters, Josephine, Helen, Ethel and Odell.

Boyd is survived by his wife, Lola Sayre, sons, Greg and Mitchell Sayre and brother, Lee Ford Sayre and wife, Ruth.

Boyd was an avid hunter and gardener. He enjoyed growing things, listening to country music, watching Mountaineer football and talking and visiting friends and relatives. Boyd was an insurance agent for over forty years and he loved to talk to his customers and see how they were doing. Boyd especially liked to see and hear from his many nephews and nieces.

Boyd did his best to overcome blindness caused by macular degeneration. He hopes all of his friends make a donation to the blind on his behalf.

Boyd was a caring husband and the best dad in the world.

Boyd was baptized in Thomas Memorial Hospital and he had a deep faith in our Jesus Christ, and his 83 years on this earth was a blessing to many.

Funeral Services will be held at 11 a.m. Monday, November 17, at Keller Funeral Home, Dunbar. Entombment will follow in Tyler Mountain Memory Gardens Mausoleum.

Friends may call from 6 to 8 p.m. Sunday, November 16, at Keller Funeral Home.
