Brenda Arlene Childers Priddy, 63, of Scott Depot went home to be with the Lord July 2, 2009 after a courageous battle with lung cancer.

Born December 31, 1945, she was the daughter of Beatrice Irene Childers and the late Benjamin A. Childers. She was also preceded in death by her sister, Marie Mozzetti. She was nurse for over 20 years and a member of Bible
Missionary Church.

She is survived by the family she so dearly cherished: Her loving husband of nearly 47 years, James R. Priddy, Sr.; daughters and sons-in-law, Lisa and Jerry Comer of St. Albans, Dawna and Kevin Koder of Cumming, GA, and Cindy and Morgan Sexton III of St. Albans; sons and daughters-in-law, Jamey and Vicki Priddy of Charleston and Jason and Melissa Priddy of Hurricane; mother, Beatrice I. Childers; sisters, Rosemary Sias of Alum Creek, Frances Pauley of Sod. She leaves behind 8 grandchildren who brought her so much happiness: Jessica Testa, Mitchell and Annie Koder, Zack and Jeremy Sexton,
Allison Priddy, and Jason and Jacob Priddy; and 3 great-grandchildren: Kayla, Anthony, and Kiersten Testa.

Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m., Tuesday, July 7, at Keller Funeral Home, Dunbar, with the Rev. Steve Yancey officiating.

Friends may call from 6 to 8 p.m., Monday, July 6 at Keller Funeral Home, Dunbar.
