He was born September 7 1959 in Charleston to Brigadier General James F. Danter, USA, deceased, and Ruby Cole Danter, of Salisbury, NC.

Brian is survived by his aunt, Lois C. Sampson of Tampa FL; his sons and daughters-in-law; Andrew and Nicole Danter, with their sons Paige and Nicholas, all of St. Albans and Christopher and Makalla Danter, of Charleston his 5 siblings,  Kara Lisa, Jamie, Mickey (wife Joyce), Suellyn , and Gary Danter; and cousins Bill, Steve, Randy & Jeff  Price, plus Scott Sampson and Lora Sampson Smith.

He was preceded in death by his cousin, Chris Sampson.

The family is especially appreciative of the compassionate care provided during Brian's illness by the staff of St. Francis Hospital, notably ICU, Pastoral Care, and Social Services.
