On January 22nd, 2016, Brian David Kingry, 31, and a lifelong resident of Dunbar, WV took his own life.
Brian attended St. Anthony's School, then Dunbar Jr. High School, where he played football; and South Charleston High School, where he developed his lifelong love for running as he excelled in track. He graduated from Marshall University, and then worked for his father's construction company. He later started his own business, B.K. Builders. He was an artistic and talented craftsman. Brian lived enthusiastically and loved all outdoor activities, especially the bonfires on the hill. He was kind and generous to a fault. He always had a smile for his family and friends. Brian was a member of Christ the King Catholic Church.
Left to mourn are his family: father, David Brent Kingry; mother, Paula Kay (Barrett) Kingry; brother, Johnathan "Barry" Kingry; nephew and namesake, Joseph Brian Kingry; niece, Faith Elizabeth Kingry; fraternal grandmother, E. Pauline Kingry; his love, Amber Stalnaker; and his faithful dog, Bandit. There are also many loving aunts, uncles, cousins, neighbors, and friends who were all family to him.
A Memorial Mass will be held at 7 p.m. on Tuesday, January 26 at Christ The King Catholic Church, Dunbar. Family and friends will gather two hours prior to the service at the church.
