Bruce E. Burgess' Obituary
Bruce E. Burgess, 70, of Dunbar, passed away Friday, November 9, 2007 at Hubbard Hospice House.
He was a US Air Force veteran of the Korean Conflict and retired from Greyhound Lines. Bruce was a member of the Korean War Veterans Association and the American Legion. He was a native of Logan County and had been a resident of Dunbar for 31 years.
Mr. Burgess is survived by his wife, Opal Burgess; sons, Bruce E. Burgess, Jr. of Indian Head, Md. and Christopher D. Burgess of Spring Hill; brothers, Paul Burgess of Hurricane, Elzie Burgess, Jr. of Logan Co., Fred Burgess of Westminster, Co; sisters, Rosemary Adams of Peach Creek and Ethel Wolfe of Bartow, Fla; one grandson, Gavin Burgess of Aurora, Co.
A memorial service will be held at 7 p.m., Monday, November 12, at Keller Funeral Home, Dunbar, with the Rev. Elzie Burgess, Jr. officiating.
The family requests donations be made to Hubbard Hospice House, 1001 Kennawa Drive, Charleston, WV 25305.
Arrangements are in the care of Keller Funeral Home, Dunbar.
