Bruce D. Smith's Obituary
Bruce D. Smith, 77, of Dunbar, passed away August 3, 2006 at his home.
He was formerly employed by Amherst Coal Co. and attended the Dry Branch Community Church.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Maxine Smith, son, David L. Smith, his beloved dog, "Snuggles" and by two brothers and five sisters.
Mr. Smith is survived by his sons, Bruce D. Smith, Jr. and his wife, Mela of Altus, OK, Richard C. Smith and his wife, Teresa of Dunbar, Timothy W. Smith and his wife, Sherry of Charleston; daughter Sandy and Allen of Hartsville, SC; sister, Ruby Kirk of Newport, Va; grandchildren, Jeremy, Matthew, Maryellen, Brittany and Christine Smith, Jimmy Shook, Phillip and Lindsey Hedrick and Jason Crist.
The family wishes to express their appreciation to HospiceCare and especially to Tanya, Beth and Richard.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to HospiceCare, 1143 Dunbar Avenue, Dunbar, WV 25064.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m., Monday, Aug. 7, at Keller Funeral Home, Dunbar, with the Rev. Terry Bostic officiating. Burial will follow in Tyler Mountain Memory Gardens.
Friends may call from 6 to 8 p.m., Sunday, Aug. 6, at Keller Funeral Home, Dunbar.
