Buster Kenneth Walters, Sr. of Big Chimney passed away on September 5, 2024 after a long illness.

He was born on July 25, 1945 to the late Cecil Walters and Julia Breedlove.

Buster was retired from White Tire where he worked as a tire tech.  During his free time, he loved fishing, spending time with his grandchildren, and he could always be found doing something outdoors.

In addition to his parents, he was proceeded in death by his son, Buster "Kenny" Walters, Jr.; brothers, Calvin Walters and Edward Breedlove; sisters, Connie McDaniels and Barbara Walters; grandson, Cory Walters; great-grandsons, Nathan Gandee, Jr. and Gabriel Lee.

Buster is survived by Barbara his wife of 59 years; daughters, Judith Frazier (Jason) of Sissonville, Robin Elswick (Patrick) of Sissonville, Tammy Johnson (Paul) of Charleston, Danielle Casto (Chance) of Sissonville; sons, Duane Walters of Charleston and James Johnson of Charleston; brother, Kerry Walters; sisters, Betty Meade, Carol Meade, and Ellen McCallister; grandchildren, Andy Walters (Samantha), Tiffany Gandee (Nathan), Donnie Burdette (Sierra), Bruce Elswick, Jessica Elswick (Richard), Jerry Scarberry (Sarah), Sara Walters (Jose), Jamie Walters, Amber (Larry) Walters, Alisha Richard (Joseph),  Brianna Walters, Mark Walters, Dylan Walters, Lyndsey Walters, Marra Pauley, Summer Johnson, Jayden Casto, Skylar Parsons; 32 great-grandchildren; and three great-great grandchildren.

The family would like to say a special "thank you" to Darcy Cochran and the nurses at the Hubbard Hospice House in Charleston.

A memorial service will be held at 4:00 p.m. on Saturday, September 14, 2024 at The Bridge located at 279 Dairy Road, Poca, WV 25159 with Pastor Larry Abshire officiating.
