C. A. Martin's Obituary
C.A. "Chuck" Martin, 89, of Dunbar died December 19, 2013 at Thomas Memorial Hospital after a long illness.
He was born in Lake City, Tenn. on November 7, 1924, son of Joe and Paralee (Henegar) Martin.
C.A. served in the United States Coast Guard from 1942-1946. He was a life member of Communication Workers of America Local Union 2001 and retired from Bell Atlantic in 1984 with 38 years of service.
He was preceded in death by his parents, five brothers and four sisters.
He is survived by his wife, Virginia (McKay) Martin, who was the love of his life, four sons, Gary (Lana), Ted (Robin), John (Christi) and Philip (Kay) Rush; seven grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren.
Graveside services will be 2 p.m. Monday, December 23, at Elk Hills Memorial Park, Big Chimney with Reverend Roy Moles officiating. There will be no visitation.
Arrangements are in the care of Keller Funeral Home, Dunbar.
