Calvin T. "Tom" Johnson, 57, of St. Albans, passed away July 22, 2006 at Thomas Memorial Hospital.
He was a retired track inspector for CSX Transportation and was a US Marine Corps veteran of the Vietnam Conflict, having been a recipient of the Purple Heart with one Bronze Star.
He was preceded in death by his mother, Stella Gay Johnson.
Mr. Johnson is survived by his wife, Brenda Mallory Johnson; sons, Calvin Thomas Johnson, Jr. and his wife, Teresa of Columbus, Ohio and Gregory Allen Johnson and his wife, Lorie of St. Albans; father, Happy Jack Johnson of St. Albans; brothers, Larry and Dave Johnson of St. Albans, Jerry Johnson of Berryville, Va and Bob Johnson of Bluemont, Va; sisters, Margaret Sams of Ashburn, Va., Phyllis Scarberry of St. Albans, Virginia Mellinger of South Charleston and Betty Slawter of Tornado; three grandchildren, Matthew, Aaron and Alexander Johnson.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m., Wednesday, July 26, at Keller Funeral Home, Dunbar, with the Reverend Stephen Neese officiating. Burial with military graveside rites conducted by American Legion Post 61, Clendenin, will be in Teays Hill Cemetery, St. Albans.
Friends may call from 6 to 8 p.m., Tuesday, July 25, at Keller Funeral Home, Dunbar.
