Obituary

Carl "Rick" Cain, 53, passed away Thursday, September 19, 2013. Carl was a life-long resident of Dunbar.

He graduated from Barton County Community College and was an honorable discharged US Veteran of the Persian Gulf War. He was retired from the US Army Reserve and the US Postal Service in Nitro, WV. Carl was a former Union Steward and active member of NALC (National Association of Letter Carriers) Local 531. He was a member of Nitro Church of the Nazarene. Carl was President of the Bison Hunting Club and a NRA member.

Carl was preceded in death by his grandparents, Elvin & Elsie Mundy; mother, Jean Cain and grandson Bradley Harrington.

Carl is survived by his wife, Vickie Cain; father, Carl B. Cain; sisters, Connie Hudson and spouse, Chris, and Ashley Cain; children, Brandy Cohen, Sandra Workman, Tonya Stover and spouse, Bryan, Amber Cain and Tyler Ric Cain; ten grandchildren, Hannah Gibson, Cody Gibson, Savannah Ward, Bryan Stover II, Brittany Stover, Cassidy Stover, Lillionna Harrington, Meadow Stover, Ivy Grace Stover, Shai Pratt; niece, Kayla Cunningham; nephews, Nathan Hudson and Zack Hudson.

Friends and family may call from 6 to 8 pm Monday, September 23 at Keller Funeral Home, Dunbar.

Funeral Service will be held at 2 p.m. on Tuesday, September 24 at Nitro Church of the Nazarene with Pastor David Clark officiating. Burial will follow at Grandview Memorial Park, Dunbar.
