Carl Edward "Eddie" Gray, 64, of Charleston, WV gained his wings on April 4, 2026 at Ruby Memorial Hospital after a long illness.

Carl was born on September 22, 1960 in Mullins, WV to the late James and Margaret Gray.

He attended Charleston High School after which he joined the Charleston Job Corps where he got his education as a chef.  Carl then went to Charleston School of Beauty where he earned his license as a hair dresser.  He then worked at Hardees as a biscuit maker until he became ill.

Carl attended Maranatha Fellowship Church in St. Albans, WV.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by three of his siblings, Alfonzo and Matthew Brown, and  Mary Gray.

Left to celebrate his life are his two sisters, Susan Dean (Robert) of Cameron, MO, and Marva Withrow (Gregory) of Charleston, WV; a very special friend, Brenda Crider; along with a host of relatives and friends.

Per his wishes, Carl will be cremated with a service at a later date.

In lieu of flowers, consider making a donation to the American Cancer Society or the American Lung Association.
