Carl H. Green's Obituary
Carl H. "Cap" Green, 65, of Teays Valley, died on Thursday, April 27, 2006, in Hubbard Hospice House, after a long courageous battle with cancer.
Carl attended First Baptist Church of Hurricane. He was retired from Eagle Research Corporation where he had many "special friends" whom he loved. He was an avid outdoorsman who loved hunting and fishing. He served his country in the US Marine Corps.
He was preceded in death by his brother, Preston A. "Geech" Green.
Mr. Green is survived by his wife of 25 years, Nancy Green; son, Carl H. Green, Jr. of Summersville; brother, Sam Green of Belvidere, IL; sister, Judy Holley of South Charleston. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews who loved him dearly.
A special thank you to the wonderful staff at Thomas Memorial Hospital, and to the "Angels" at Hubbard Hospice House.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests donations to : Hubbard Hospice House, 1001 Kennawa Drive, Charleston, WV 25311.
Service will be held at 1 p.m., Sunday, April 30, 2006, at Keller Funeral Home, Dunbar, with the Rev. James McGehee officiating. Burial will follow in Cunningham Memorial Park, St. Albans.
Friends may call from 6 to 9 p.m., Saturday, April 29, at Keller Funeral Home, Dunbar.
