Rev. Carl E. McCallister, 62, of South Charleston, passed away Nov. 24, 2006 at his home.

He was a great man of faith and a hard worker for the Lord. He loved going to church and holding services at the Riverside Nursing Home. With God working through him, he has been able to help and bless many people. TO GOD BE THE GLORY.

Rev. McCallister is survived by his wife, Mary E. McCallister, daughter, Lisa Martin and her husband, Harry of Charleston; sons, Michael McCallister and his wife, Sandy of North Carolina and David McCallister and his wife, Crystal of South Charleston; brothers, Elmer, Bub, Clarence, David, Delbert, Huck and Bob McCallister; sister, Darlene.

He is also survived by five grandsons and one granddaughter and two special family friends, Shirley Stewart and Loraine Watson.

There will be a celebration of his life at 1 p.m., Tuesday, Nov. 28, at the Ohio Street Church of God with the Rev. Rick Tobia officiating. Entombment will follow in Graceland Memorial Park.

Friends may call at the church 2 hours prior to the service.
