Carol Hicks, 83, of Scott Depot passed away March 31, 2018.

She is preceded in death by her parents, Elbert and Ethel Wall Hicks; sisters, Georgie Wilkinson, and Renie Mullens; and brother, Elbert "Buddy" Hicks.

Carol is survived by her sisters and caregivers, Sylvia Weddington (Robert) of Teays Valley and Maxine Duncan of Scott Depot; sister Goldie Nathansen of Daytona Beach, FL; brother, Vernon Hicks (Robin) of Gallagher; nieces and a nephew that she loved and treated like her own, Mary Beth Dawson, Donna Marchun, Tammy Maynor, Nancy Baire, and Steven Hicks; as well as several nieces and nephews from FL; adopted sisters, Erna Thomas of East Bank, and Alice McCallister of Hurricane; and special friends Pearl (Bill) Haas of Mich. and Frank (Debbie) Porta of Mink Shoals.

The family would like to give special thanks to the Bellaire of Devonshire Memory Care Unit girls and the staff of Hubbard Hospice House West for their love and excellent care. Also, a special thanks to Ed Bellville for all the love and support you have shown our family over the last week.

Services will be held at 12 p.m. on Wednesday, April 4 at Keller Funeral Home, Dunbar with Ed Bellville officiating. Burial will follow in Sunset Memorial Park, South Charleston.

Friends may visit 1 hour prior to the service at Keller Funeral Home, Dunbar.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests a donation be made to a Hospice care of your choice.
