Carol Lynn Pauley Anderson, 82, of Charleston, died on August 29, 2024, at home in Charleston after a long illness.
She was born on April 1, 1942 in Charleston to the late Emmitt and Mary Miller.
Carol retired from WV Career College and CAMC both of Charleston. She enjoyed fishing, playing banjo, guitar and harmonica and among all she enjoyed sharing the gospel of Jesus Christ. She attended Mount Pleasant Baptist Church of Elkview and later Springfork Missionary Baptist Church of Charleston.
In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her grandson, Joseph Pauley Jr..
Carol is survived by her sons, Greg Pauley of Charleston, Joe Pauley of Charleston, David Pauley and wife Sherry of Raleigh, NC; grandchildren, Tiffany Driggers of New Hill, NC, Izaih and Brandon Pauley of South Charleston; great grandchildren, Everley and Arlynn Driggers of New Hill, NC; her loving sister, Jane Coleman of Charleston; and a host of nieces, nephews and other loved ones.
A funeral service will be held at 1 p.m. on Wednesday, September 4, at Springfork Missionary Baptist Church, Charleston, with Pastor Mike Long officiating. Burial will follow in Cunningham Memorial Park, St. Albans.
Friends may visit one hour prior to the service at Springfork Missionary Baptist Church.
Friends and family are invited to an early luncheon at 11 a.m. at Springfork Missionary Baptist Church fellowship hall.
The family would like to offer a special thanks to Kanawha Hospice Care for providing tender care during this difficult time.
In lieu of flowers the family asks that donations to be made to the Springfork Missionary Baptist Church "Ladies Circle" or to the church, 320 Campbells Creek Drive #A, Charleston, WV 25306.
