Carol Gillenwater Seaton, 63, of Cross Lanes, passed away Wednesday, August 20, 2008, at her home.

She was a member of the Cross Lanes United Methodist Church and was retired from Old Colony Co. Mrs. Seaton was a former member of the Order of Eastern Star and the Cross Lanes Junior Women's Club. She was also a former member of the Board of Directors of the Arthritis Foundation and was the Swim Team Representative for CLRA for many years.

Mrs. Seaton was preceded in death by her brother, Michael L. Gillenwater and her parents, Okey V. and Wenona Payne Gillenwater.

Surviving are her husband, Sam Kendall Seaton; daughters, Jennifer Seaton Colquitt and her husband, Travis of Ona and Dr. Andrea Seaton Kelton and her husband, Rhett of Tampa, Fla; grandchildren, Casey Seaton Colquitt of Ona and Wyatt Mclain Kelton of Tampa, Fla. Also surviving are her brother-in-law, James L. Seaton of Long Boat Key, Fla., aunts, Frankie Elkins of Ashford, Maxine McIntyre of Huntington, Betty Jo Payne of Charleston and her special friend and caregiver, Sandy Nichols.

Funeral services will be held at 5 p.m., Saturday, August 23, at the Cross Lanes United Methodist Church with the Rev. Dr. J. F. Lacaria officiating. Entombment will follow at Tyler Mountain Memory Gardens.

Friends may call from 6 to 8 p.m., Friday, August 22, at Keller Funeral Home, Dunbar.

The family suggests that in lieu of flowers, donations be made to the St. Jude Childrens Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, Tennessee 38105-9956.
