Caroline S. Clendenin Gardner, 81, of Dunbar went home to be with her Lord on Tuesday, July 29, 2025.

She was born on December 13, 1943, in Charleston, WV to the late Edward and Rachel Clendenin.

Caroline was a graduate of Dunbar High School, and was employed at Kroger for a short period of time.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her son, Jr. Gardner; her sister, Becky Clendenin; and her brothers, Bobby and Larry Clendenin.

Caroline is survived by her son, Mark of Dunbar; her granddaughters, Brittany and Alainah; her grandson, Tyler; along with her great-grandson, Elijah.

The family would like to that Stone Rise nursing home for the amazing care that Caroline received.

A funeral service will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Monday, August 4, 2025, at Keller Funeral Home, Dunbar with Pastor Aaron Finney officiating.  Burial will follow in Grandview Memorial Park.

Family will welcome visitors one hour prior to the service at Keller Funeral Home, Dunbar.
