Carolyn "Bonnie" June Barnhart, 71, of Sissonville, passed away on Sunday, April 7, 2019.

She was born on January 17, 1948 in Ripley, to the late Floyd and Juanita Harrison.

Bonnie retired from Kines Pharmacy where she worked as a pharmacy tech for 10 years. She continued to work well past retirement age because she enjoyed the companionship of her "work family" and the many customers she saw daily. During the summer months she enjoyed spending time at her camp in Pocahontas County and with her granddaughter.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her brothers, Jackie Dale and Danny Harrison.

Carolyn is survived by her daughter, Shannon Thornton of Hurricane; granddaughter, Erika Thornton of Hurricane; uncle, James Harrison and wife Joyce of Goldtown; former husband, Denny Barnhart of Charleston; and many nieces and nephews.

The family would like to thank the staff at CAMC General 7 South and Todd Thornton for all their help.

A funeral service will be held at 2 p.m. on Sunday, April 14, at Keller Funeral Home, Dunbar, with Pastor Dana Reed officiating. Burial will follow in Fisher Cemetery, Goldtown.

Friends may visit one hour prior to the service at Keller Funeral Home, Dunbar.
