Charlene Bailey, 78, of Dunbar, went home to be with the Lord October 10, 2016. She passed peacefully in her home after a long illness with dementia.
She was born August 6, 1938 to the late Worthy & Viola Wickline.
Charlene was a loving wife, mother and grandmother and will be deeply missed. She was a wonderful cook and homemaker for many years. She is now reunited with her one and only love, Arnold Keith "Beetle" Bailey, who she has missed dearly over the last 20 years. They will celebrate their wedding anniversary of 63 years, October 13, in heaven. Charlene loved babies, especially her great- grandchildren. She would smile when she saw one and loved having them visit. She also loved facetiming in the evenings with her granddaughter, Amy & great-grandsons that live in Tennessee.
In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by her sister, Imogene Hill; brother, Jimmy Wickline; grandson, Billy Blankenship; and great grandson, Logan Goodall.
Charlene is survived by her daughters, Gloria "Tiny" Anderson (Charlie Shamblin), Diane Blankenship (JR Nichols) , Melissa Eren (Bobby Eren); two brothers Bob Wickline (Renee)and Rick Wickline; her grandchildren, Alan Eren (Jennifer), Pepper Purdue (Les), Jeremy Eren (Jan), Crystal Mullins (Adam) and Amy Duncan (Jon) and her sixteen great-grandchildren. She loved all her family very much.
Her daughter, Tiny, would like to give a special thank you to Alan (grandson) and Jennifer Eren for providing care to her mother during her illness.
Funeral service will be held at 1 p.m., Thursday, October 13, at Keller Funeral Home, Dunbar with Pastor Delbert Hawley officiating. Burial will follow in Grandview Memorial Park, Dunbar.
Visitation will be two hours prior to the service at Keller Funeral Home, Dunbar.
