Charles A. Arthur, 89, of Dunbar, passed away surrounded by his loving family on Thursday, September 13, 2018.

He was retired from Standard Foods and served proudly in the United States Air Force.

Charles was preceded in death by his loving wife, Wanda Mae Arthur ; parents, John and Ernie Arthur; brothers, Arnold, Fritzy, Johnny, Russell, and Joe Arthur.

Charles is survived by daughter, Jean Arthur of South Charleston; sons, Rusty Arthur and wife, Cheryl of Hurricane, Danny Arthur and wife, Margo, of North Myrtle Beach, SC, and Darren Arthur and wife Nancy Spencer of San Antonio, TX; grandsons, Joshua Arthur and wife Rene, of Scott Depot, Andrew Short and wife, Amber, of Kuna, ID, and Adam Short and wife, Jenna, of Morrisville, NC; granddaughter, Amy Henson and her husband, Rob, of Teays Valley; great grandchildren, Isaac, Kaitlyn and Savannah Arthur, Hadley Short, Alex and Sophie Henson; sister, Nancy King and husband, Charlie of Cincinnati, OH; many nieces, nephews and friends.

The family would like to thank Braley Care Homes, HopiceCare, and Veterans Administration for their love, care and support they have shown.

Services will be held at 12 p.m. on Tuesday, September 18 at Keller Funeral Home, Dunbar with Rev. Pete Thompson officiating. Burial will follow in Grandview Memorial Park, Dunbar.

Visitation will be 6 to 8 p.m. on Monday, September 17 at Keller Funeral Home, Dunbar.
