Mr. Charles Truman Bailey, of Dunbar, originally from North Charleston, WV, ended his journey on earth to begin his final journey in heaven and join his many loved ones who passed before him.

Mr. Bailey retired from Woodrow Wilson Junior High School in Charleston with 35 years of service as head custodian.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Evelyn Isabell McCormick Bailey, his brothers, Gerald Bailey, Buddy Bailey and his sister, Donnie Brillhart.

Mr. Bailey is survived by his sister, Nora Lovejoy Fisher of Kelly's Creek, and by four sons and one daughter, Phillip Wayne McCormick and his companion, Connie Venoy of Milton, Steve William Bailey and his wife, Donna Kay of Spring Hill, Fla., Tom R. Bailey and his wife, Linda of Hurricane, Danny Edward Bailey of Falls Church, Va. and Marianne Bailey Otey of Dunbar.

Mr. Bailey is also survived by 8 grandchildren, 13 great grandchildren and by a host of students at Woodrow Wilson Jr. High who loved him very much.

Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m., Thursday, June 8, at Keller Funeral Home, Dunbar, with the Rev. David Taylor and the Rev. Marc Rickabaugh officiating. Burial will follow in Grandview Memorial Park.
