Charles Burton Clendenin, II, 77, of South Charleston, passed away Tuesday, December 19, 2012, at Hubbard Hospice House West.
He attended the Community Chapel in Cross Lanes and was formerly employed as a car salesman in Winston-Salem, NC. Charles was a member of the Enterprise Masonic Lodge # 162 in Winston-Salem and was a US Marine veteran of the Korean Conflict. He was preceded in death by his parents, Rev. Charles B. and Nancy Ruth Clendenin, four sisters and two brothers.
Surviving are his loving wife, Patricia Clendenin; sons, Ricky Allen Clendenin of NC, Charles B. Clendenin, III of Thousand Oaks, CA, Jeffrey Clendenin and Michael Clendenin of NC; daughters, Robin Lynn Haynes of Charleston, Cathy Clendenin and Karen Parker of NC; sister, Patricia Lanham of Charleston. He is also survived by numerous grandchildren, great grandchildren and nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m., Sunday, December 23, at Keller Funeral Home, Dunbar, with the Rev. Phillip Conn officiating. Burial with Masonic graveside rites will follow in Brick Cemetery, Cross Lanes.
