May 10, 1946 – May 26, 2017
Deacon Charles F. Cole Jr., age 71, went home to be with the Lord, Friday, May 26, 2017 at CAMC Memorial Hospital after a courageous battle with lung cancer.
Charles was born on May 10, 1946, in Kanawha County to proud parents of Charles Sr., and Inez L. Gregory-Cole. He educated in Kanawha County Schools, South Charleston.
Charles was also employed by USPS as a letter carrier for 42 years.
After becoming saved, he joined Mt. Zion Missionary Baptist Church, where he was ordained as a Deacon on January 2, 1983
Charles was preceded in death by his first wife, Jennifer Cole: parents, Charles Sr., and Inez Cole, and brother David Richard Cole.
He leaves to mourn, his wife of 45 years, Nawana L. Miller-Cole; sons Charles F. III (Abha) of Harker Heights, TX.; Patric Michael (Shanel), of Charleston; grandchildren, Charles F. IV, Raj Kumar-Jain, of Harker Heights, TX. Dustin Dorsett, of South Charleston; Brittany Layne Cole, Timothy Wisen-Seldon and Destiny Shaye Cole of Charleston; soon to be born grandson Patric Michael Jr.; great-grandchildren Adriana Dorsett, Daylin Dorsett and Elijah Josiah Cole; one sister-in-law, Delphia Cole; along with a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives, friends and co-workers.

Service will be held at 11a.m., Wednesday, May 31 at Keller Funeral Home, Dunbar with Rev. Franklin Murphy Sr. officiating. Burial will follow in Spring Hill Cemetery, Charleston.
Friends may call from 6 to 8 p.m., Tuesday, May 30 at Mt. Zion Missionary Baptist Church, South Charleston.
Arrangements are in the care of Keller Funeral Home.
