Charles Donathorne "Don" Santrock Jr., 78, of Dunbar, WV passed away peacefully on Wednesday, September 17, 2025 at home, surrounded by loved ones.

Don was born on January 3, 1947 in Charleston, WV to Charles and Katherine Santrock Sr.

Don graduated from Dunbar High School in 1965.  He was a barber in Dunbar and retired from his business, Ohio Avenue Barbershop, after 40 years.  His favorite things in life were playing cards with friends, traveling with his wife, golfing, and working in the yard.  He spent a lot of his life running around for baseball games with his grandson.  He also was an avid WVU Mountaineer fan and never missed the chance to watch the games.  Don also spent time collecting lots of Coca-Cola antiques and WVU novelties.

He was an active member of The Dunbar Church of Christ for nearly 30 years.

He is preceded in death by his parents and three brothers, Dave, Tom, and Bill.

Don is survived by his wife of 57 years, Linda; daughter, Shelley Sheedy (Chuck); grandson, James "Austin" Santrock; and granddaughters, Chelsea Poe and Abbagail "Abby" Poe.  He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.

A funeral service will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Wednesday, September 24, 2025 at Keller Funeral Home, Dunbar with burial to follow in Tyler Mountain Memory Gardens.

Family will welcome visitors one hour prior to the service at Keller Funeral Home, Dunbar.

Arrangements are in the care of Keller Funeral Home, Dunbar.
