Charles "Rusty" Harmon, 52, of Charleston, went home to be with the Lord on Tuesday, October 18, 2022.

He was born on April 30, 1970 in Charleston, to Red Harmon and Barbara Barnett.

Rusty grew up at the North Charleston ball field from little league through senior league baseball. He was also in A, B, and C football. He was active in sports throughout junior high and high school and was a 1988 graduate of Stonewall Jackson High School.

Rusty was preceded in death by his father, Red Harmon.

He is survived by his sons, Anthony Harmon of Charleston, Rusty Lee Harmon of Charleston; daughters, Makenzie Harmon of South Carolina, MarleeJo Harmon of Charleston; granddaughter, Adalyn Harmon of Charleston; mother, Barbara Barnett of South Carolina; brother, Mike Sampson (Amy) of Charleston; sister, Wendy Elkins (Jason) of Dunbar; two nieces; two nephews; three great-nephews; one great-niece; and a multitude of friends.

A memorial gathering will be from 5 to 7 p.m. on Saturday, October 22, at Living Faith Church, Marmet.
