Charles G. Mace

Charles G. Mace, 86, of Elkview, went home to be with our Lord on Wednesday, August 5, 2026.

He was born on August 7, 1939, in Charleston, to the late Solomon Mace and Ruby Rock.

Charles attended Elkview High School and he worked as a self-employed carpenter. He attended Clendenin Pentecostal Church. He enjoyed fishing, hunting, gardening, and spending time with his family. Charles will be greatly missed by the love of his life, his wife, Brenda G. Mace and his family. He was a great husband, father, grandfather, and friend.

In addition to his parents he was predeceased by his sister, Gladys New.

Charles is survived by his loving wife, Brenda G. Mace of Elkview; daughters, Elizabeth Mace Jarrett and husband Clay of Queen Shoals, Melonie Haas Mace of Kentucky; sons, Charles A. Mace and wife Venus of South Carolina, Jeffrey C. Mace and wife Angela of Elkview; 14 grandkids; and 20 great-grandkids.

The family would like to thank their church family and friends for all the prayers and support.

A Celebration of Life will be held from 2 p.m. to 5 p.m. on Monday, September 7, at the Clubhouse in Coonskin Park, Charleston.

Arrangements are in the care of Keller Funeral Home, Dunbar.
