Charles R. "Buddy" Withrow, a lifetime resident of Dunbar, passed away at the age of 79 in the early morning hours of October 26, 2010, after a short illness.

Buddy was a 38-year employee of Union Carbide where he worked as an electrician. He was also employed by Keller Funeral Home for many years. Buddy was a beloved husband, son, brother, father, uncle and friend, and was known for his warm smile, generosity, patience and kindness to everyone he knew.

He was married to his childhood sweetheart, the late Barbara "Bobby" Withrow for 30 years. He was also preceded in death by his mother, Tinabelle Withrow, and father, Brady Withrow, of Dunbar, sister, Rosie Goodwin of Dunbar, and sister Dola Browning of Jackson, Ohio.

He is survived by his son, Charles R. "Bud" Withrow and daughter-in-law Kim Withrow of St. Albans; sisters Violet Browning and her husband Clarence of Lebanon, Virginia, Judy Bird and her husband Damon of Indianapolis, Indiana; sister-in-law Catherine Whittington of Dunbar; and many nieces and nephews. Buddy will be sadly missed and forever in the hearts of all who knew and loved him.

Funeral Services will be held at 11 a.m., Friday, October 29, at Keller Funeral Home, Dunbar, with the Rev. Joel Harpold officiating. Burial will follow in Grandview Memorial Park, Dunbar.
