Charles L. Tinsley, 80, of St. Albans went home to be with the Lord April 6, 2016.
He was born September 28, 1935 in Nitro, son of the late Burton A. Tinsley and Gillian A. Tinsley.
Charles devoted his life to his family; he enjoyed hunting, fishing and golfing. He played sports as a young man and later coached for the St. Albans Eastern Little League Baseball and the Golden Bears of St. Albans Midget Football League. A #1 fan, he never missed a game when his boys were playing or coaching in minor league, midget league, junior high school, high school and college.
Those left to cherish his memory are his loving wife, Rose; sons, Scott Tinsley (Gina) of St. Albans, Michael Tinsley (Kelly) of Hurricane and Brian Tinsley (Lori) of Teays Valley; grandchildren, Nikki, Jordan, Mitchell, Garrett, Dylan and Brooke; sisters, Gloria Sue Johnson (Dike) and Betty J Tinsley.
He will be missed by all those who loved him dearly.
Services will be held at 2 p.m. on Saturday, April 9, at Keller Funeral Home, Dunbar with Pastor Allen Stewart officiating. Burial will follow in Grandview Memorial Park, Dunbar.
Visitation will be 2 hours prior to the service on Saturday at Keller Funeral Home, Dunbar.
