Charlotte Taylor Bowers, 94, of Dunbar, passed away surrounded by her family at home Friday, December 13, 2013, after an extended illness.

She was loved by all who knew her and will be sorely missed.

She was a member of Mount Calvary Baptist Church in Charleston and was retired from Rish Equipment where she worked as an executive secretary. She also worked several years as an executive secretary at RealCorp, LLC.

Charlotte was preceded in death by her daughter, Linda Ann Coberly, her father, William W. Taylor, mother, Lillian M. Dooley Taylor, sisters, Virginia Taylor Winfrey, Pauline Taylor Sawyer and Margaret Nafe and by her brother, William A. Taylor.

Those left to cherish her memory are her son-in-law, Rev. Lanny R. Coberly, Sr., grandson, Lanny R. Coberly, Jr., granddaughter, Charlotte A. Coberly and several nephews, nieces and friends.

The family expresses appreciation for the compassion and care given by HospiceCare.

Funeral service will be held at 2 p.m., Tuesday, December 17, 2013, at Keller Funeral Home, Dunbar, with the Rev. Jesse Waggoner and the Rev. Lanny Coberly, Sr., officiating. Burial will follow in Spring Hill Cemetery, Charleston.

The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the funeral home.
