Charlotte Russell Coley, 70, daughter of the late Dr. James A. Russell, Jr. and the late Lottye W. Russell, died peacefully June 13, 2016 at Hubbard Hospice House West. She suffered from a long illness and is now with God and her parents.

She was a member of the Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority. As a lover of music, she sang in her church choir and loved her Gladys Knight, Jerry Butler and doo wop music.

She is survived by her brother, James Alvin Russell III, her aunt, Dr. Virginia H. Russell, her cousins, Henry P Russell, Jr., John S. Russell, Donella R. Moseley, Judy K. Deane Cisco and their families and her church family at St. Christopher's of Charleston.

A memorial service will be held at 11 a.m. on Friday, June 24, at St. Christopher Episcopal Church with the Rev. Melissa Remington officiating. There will be a burial in Lawrenceville, Va. with her parents, at a later date.
