Charlotte Hudson Cox, 90, passed away after a long illness on December 19, 2013.
Charlotte was born on March 5, 1923 in Cannelton and was a resident of Charleston for most of her life.
She retired from the Charleston Newspapers and the State of WV, Secretary of State's Office; she was a member of Northside Nazarene Church in Charleston.
Charlotte was preceded in death by her husband, Reginald Lennie Cox; father and mother, John and Letha Hudson; six brothers and two sisters.
She is survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Sue Ann and Steve Jones of Chesterfield, VA; granddaughter, Michelle Staton (Chris) of Glen Allen, VA; grandsons, Mark Randolph (Paula) of Quick and Michael Randolph (Sandy) of Chesterfield, VA; four great-granddaughters, Taylor, Ava, Nicole and Leah; three great-grandsons, Josh, Jacob and Paul; and sister-in-law and brother-in-law, Florine and Arthur Stern of St. Albans.
The family would like to give special thanks to Jane Rowsey and Kanawha HospiceCare, friends Debbie Breedlove, Becky Parry, Jim & Linda Whittington and her grandson, Mark and his wife, Paula Randolph for their help and support.
Services will be held at 10 a.m., Tuesday, December 24 at Keller Funeral Home, Dunbar with Reverend John Hayes officiating. Burial will follow in Montgomery Memorial Park.
Friends and family may call from 6 to 8 p.m., Monday, December 23 at Keller Funeral Home, Dunbar.
