Chester "Chuck" Ray Sargent Jr., 64, of Scott Depot, passed away on August 14, 2023 after a short illness.

Chuck was born on October 22, 1958 to parents Chester "Chuck" and Dolores in Dunbar.  He graduated from Dunbar High School in 1976.  Chuck then went on to work at Federal Express where he retired after 40 years of service.

In 1979, Chuck met Linda (Sherrill) at Dunbar Playground, which led to 43 years of marriage and two children, Geoffrey Ray and Amanda Holly.

Chuck was preceded in death by his father, Chester, Sr.; son, Geoffrey; and brother Cliff.

He is survived by his mother, Dolores; wife, Linda; daughter, Amanda (John) of Hampton, Virginia; grandchildren, Emma Brooke and Patrick David; brother, John (Lisa); and, numerous nieces and nephews.

There will be no service.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to Hospice of Huntington, an organization in which Chuck felt very strongly.
