Clarence Joseph Goff, 74 years old, son of the late Lee and Margaret Goff, died March 18, 2013 at Hubbard Hospice House West after an extended illness.
He was retired from CAMC – General Hospital with 35 years of service.
He was preceded in death by his parents, his wife, Judith and his brothers, Millard, Robert and Gary.
Surviving are his son, Robert "Dick" Goff; daughter, Sharon Burdette; adopted daughter, Tammy Smith; three step-daughters, Vickie, Teresa and Deanna; four grandchildren, many great grandchildren and by his grandson, Dylan Boggs, who held a special place in his heart. He is also survived by his brother, Franklin W. Goff, former wife, Bonnie Smith and a host of family and friends.
The family wishes to extend special thanks to his grandson, Terry Collins, Jr. and to Sharon Burdette and her husband, David for their kind and caring love for Clarence during his last few months and especially the last few weeks. Thanks also to the staff of Hubbard Hospice House West, who were very kind, compassionate, caring and supportive during his stay there.
Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m., Thursday, March 22, at Keller Funeral Home, Dunbar, with the Rev. Franklin W. Goff officiating. Burial will follow in Grandview Memorial Park.
