Rev. Claude W. Loudermilk, 76, of Hurricane, has gone home to be with the Lord after a long illness.
He was born Nov. 14, 1930 and passed away on Aug. 29, 2007. He was a US Marine Corps veteran, having served during the Korean Conflict. He was retired from the US Postal Service and was a member of the Gospel Tabernacle Association. Rev. Loudermilk was a pastor of many churches in Kanawha, Putnam and Lincoln Counties.
He is survived by his devoted and loving wife of 53 years, Myrtle Loudermilk. Together they had three sons, Claude W. "Butch" Loudermilk, Jr. and his wife, Karen of Spring Hill, Rick Loudermilk of Hurricane and Tim Loudermilk and his wife, Connie of Hurricane. Also surviving are his brother, William Loudermilk of Medina, OH and grandchildren, Kelly, Josh, Jonathan, Erica, Amanda, Mark, Racheal and Steve.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m., Saturday, Sept. 1, at Keller Funeral Home, Dunbar, with the Rev. Mark Hesson officiating. Burial with military rites will be in Mount Moriah Cemetery.
