Clement S. King, 88, of Dunbar, passed away Friday, February 10, 2006 in Thomas Memorial Hospital, South Charleston.
Born October 10, 1917 in Derricks Creek, WV, he was the son of the late Everett and Evaline King. He retired from Avtex Fibers. He was a member of Jr. Order of United American Mechanics, Dunbar Council 49, and was a member of Mt. Lodge of West Virginia. He served his country in the US Army with the 358th Combat Engineers in the European Theater, during World War II.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brothers, Vess King, Clark King, Archie "Kip" King, Ward King; and a sister, Sylvia King.
Mr. King is survived by his wife, Frances E. King; son, James K. King of Dunbar; sisters, Evelyn Harrison of Nitro, Mary Boggess of Richmond, VA, Martha Derrick of Nitro, Arbutus Childers of Nitro; and a host of nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday, February 14, at Keller Funeral Home, Dunbar, with the Rev. Joel Harpold officiating. Entombment will follow in Grandview Memorial Park.
