Cody Maxwell Belote, 29, of St. Albans passed away on December 23, 2021 at home. Our lives are forever changed.

He was born on April 7, 1992 to Lori and Bryan Belote.

Cody graduated from St. Albans High School in 2010. He loved art and music and was gifted at both. Cody also had a passion for philosophy. He was sweet, kind, morally upright, gentle, generous, helpful, funny, and a wonderful son, brother, grandson, nephew and friend.

He worked at McDonalds and Mountain Pie Company On The River as a cook.

He was preceded in death by his brother, Garrett Belote; and grandfather, Stephen Mullins.

In addition to his parents, left to cherish Cody's memory is his girlfriend, Ryan Hicks; sister, Cassidy Belote; grandmother, Donna Mullins; aunt, Bobbi Walters (Mark); uncle, Mark Mullins (Anika); several cousins; and a host of lifelong friends we call his "Posse".

A service will be held at 7 p.m. on Tuesday, January 4, at Keller Funeral Home, Dunbar with Minister Mark Estep officiating. Friends may visit two hours prior to the service at Keller Funeral Home, Dunbar.

Burial will take place at 10 a.m. on Wednesday, January 5, in Cunningham Memorial Park, St. Albans.

Everyone is welcome to join us for either or both services.
