Connie Ann Thomas, 74, of Charleston passed peacefully at her home on October 2, 2022 surrounded by family.
Connie was born to the late Scott and Francis Hicks in Charleston on Dec 2, 1947.
Connie Ann attended Riverview Elementary and graduated from Charleston High School. She briefly attended Bluefield State College. Connie worked retail most of her adult life and loved all things luxury. She enjoyed spending time with her family, shopping, and talking on the phone for hours with her sister Linda.
In addition to her parents, Connie was preceded in death by her grandmother, Sally Johnson; brother, Kenneth Hicks; sister, Linda Hicks; and her son Sean Tyson.
Connie is survived by her loving husband of 50 years, Samuel Thomas Jr.; their 8 children, Curtis McNeil of Charleston, Walter (Thelma) Tyson of Cleveland, OH, Angela (William) Blackwell-Thomas of Columbia, MD, Samuel (Andrea) Thomas III of Charleston, Aaron Thomas of Charleston, Tracey ( Amber) Thomas of Parkersburg, Lekesha Richardson of Baltimore, MD, Jason (Krista) Thomas of Williamstown, and her oldest granddaughter, who was like a daughter, Keshawna (Michael) Arrollado of Vancouver, WA; 50 grandchildren, 22 great- grandchildren, and a host of nieces, nephews and family members that she loved dearly.
Home Going Services will be held at 1p.m. on Monday, October 10th, at Abundant Life Ministries, Charleston, with Bishop Wayne Crozier officiating. Burial will follow in Sunset Memorial Park, South Charleston.
Visitation will be held 2 hours prior to the service, at the church.
Arrangement are in the care of Keller Funeral Home, Dunbar.
