Connie Renee Zimmerman, 68, of Hurricane, went home to be with the Lord on Monday, September 18, 2023, after a long battle with cancer.

She was born on February 20, 1955 in South Charleston, to the late Raymond and Betty Lore.

Connie was a loving mother, friend and partner. She loved gardening, animals, hot-rodding, and the outdoors. She had a contagious smile that would light up a room and she brought joy to everyone who was blessed enough to know her.

In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her granddaughter, Kristen Jean Emery.

Connie is survived by her daughter, Nichole Bradley of St. Albans; her long-time partner, Patrick Grimm of Hurricane and his daughter, Amber Fairchild and husband Corey of Culloden; grandchildren, Kiara Eldridge of Chapmanville, Steven Eldridge of Chapmanville, Alexus Scarborough of Reidsville, NC; sisters, Brenda Thompson of Hurricane, Debbie Adkins and husband Paul of Charleston; brother, Les Lore of South Point, OH; and life-long friend, Barbara Myers.

A Celebration of Life will be held at 2 p.m. on Sunday, October 1 at Little Creek Park, South Charleston.
