Constance L. Kittle, 67, of Dunbar died December 3, 2015 at home. She was the daughter of the late Robert Howard Kittle and the late Mary Pauline Kittle.
A graduate of Rosary Hill College in Buffalo, N.Y., and the West Virginia College of Graduate Studies, she taught developmentally challenged students at Capital High School for over three decades. Her hallmark was a compassionate commitment to her students. Earlier in her career she was a member of the Sisters of St. Francis of Stella Niagara, N.Y. She also was deeply engaged on a volunteer basis for many years with Christ the King Catholic Church in Dunbar.
She is survived by her sister, Roberta Greig of Maple Hill, N.C.; brother, Robert Kittle of La Jolla, Calif.; nephew, John Perkins of Cross Lanes; niece, Katie Perkins of Dunbar; niece, Charlotte Adams of Wilmington, N.C.; niece, Rebecca Dowdy of The Woodlands, Texas; nephew, Peter Kittle of Phoenix, Ariz.; nephew, Andrew Kittle of Gilbert, Ariz.
She was predeceased by her sister, Mary Anna Perkins of Cross Lanes.
Services will be held at 10 a.m. Tuesday, Dec. 8, at Christ the King Catholic Church in Dunbar, with the Rev. Fr. Dean Borgmeyer officiating. A reception will be held immediately afterward at the parish hall.
