Curtis Cread Sampson II, 45, of Scott Depot, passed away at Charleston General Hospital on Thursday, November 5, 2015.
Curtis was born in South Charleston on January 16, 1970 to Curtis Cread and Beverley Dee Sampson.
He worked as a Boilermaker for Local 667 for 27 years.
Curtis was preceded in death by his father, Curtis Cread Sampson; grandmother, Lorene Sampson; and grandfather, Grover Sampson.
Curtis is survived by his sons, Matthew Short and wife, Jade, of Nitro, Trevor Sampson of Dunbar; daughter, Chelsi Sampson of Dunbar; mother, Beverley Sampson of Scott Depot; grandson, Grayson Owen Short of Nitro; sisters, Marjory Davis of Scott Depot, Sherri Haber and husband, Michael, of Hurricane; nieces, Kiera Sampson of Scott Depot, Stephanie Woodrum of Bancroft; nephew; Andrew Hamrick of Dunbar; and ex-wife, Kristi Sampson Maxwell of Dunbar.
Services will be held on Thursday, November 12, at 8pm at Keller Funeral Home, Dunbar.
