Dallas Earl Basham, 89, of Dunbar, passed away Friday, October 21, 2011, at the Hubbard Hospice House.
He was formerly employed for many years by RC Cola and retired as a sales manager with the Coca Cola Co. Dallas was a US Army veteran of WW II and was a member of the Fraternal Order of Eagles and the Charleston Moose Lodge. He was born at Ohley on Cabin Creek.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Mary Basham, parents, Golden and Vivian Basham, brothers, McClure, William Henry and Orlando "Blackie" Basham and his sister, Vonna Scott.
Surviving are his son, Joseph W. Basham of Cross Lanes; daughter, Drema Steinke of Benton Harbor, MI and sister, Betty Phillips of Ronda, WV. Dallas is also survived by grandchildren, David, Joseph, Jr., Stephanie and Laura and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m., Tuesday, October 25, at Keller Funeral Home, Dunbar, with Eddie Withrow officiating. Burial will follow in Tyler Mountain Memory Gardens.
Friends may call two hours prior to the service at Keller Funeral Home, Dunbar.
