Daniel Carroll Cardwell

Daniel Carroll Cardwell, 65, left this earth after a long illness on September 8, 2026. He was born November 6, 1960, in Huntington, WV.

He was preceded in death by his father, Standard Oliver “Jr” Cardwell whom he dearly loved and admired; and step-mother, Genevieve Cardwell; and his sisters, Linda Kay Warf, Mildred Music and Judy White.

He is survived by his son, Daniel Matthew Cardwell of South Point, OH; and his brothers, Darrell (Ceci) Cardwell of Wayne, WV, and Darvin (Missy) Cardwell of Proctorville, OH.

Danny graduated from Fairland High School in 1979 and learned to sing and play the guitar at a very young age. His first love was music and performing on stage or for anyone willing to listen and had multiple fans. He was always telling a joke, singing or telling a story and never met a stranger. He was so very proud of making it to Nashville for 3 years running and having made his own CD with 6 heartfelt songs that he wrote himself. 

Danny was kind and had a good heart.  He will be greatly missed.

A special thank you to Kim who assisted in his final days. And to his best friend Jim Leary who enjoyed his company immensely and without whom he wouldn’t have made it this far.
