Daniel Lee Gibson, 32, of Dunbar tragically lost his battle with depression on March 22, 2023.

Daniel was born December 18, 1990, in Charleston. He was an amazing young man who touched the lives of so many. He would go above and beyond to help anyone in need, and a he will be soundly remembered, yet greatly missed by everyone who knew him.

He was preceded in death by his brother, Scott Alan Gibson; grandmother, Sarah Cook Gibson; grandfather, Herman Harlow Jr; aunts, Thelma Gibson, Dreama Gibson, and Christine Jones.

Daniel is survived by his parents, Vernon and Angela Harlow Gibson of Liberty; sister, Amanda (Chris) Adkins of Tyler Mountain; grandparents, Earl and Carol Meadows of Liberty; son, Ryan Gibson (Andrea Bonnett) of St. Albans; nieces, Lilly, Jasmine, Bailey, and Alana Smith all of Tyler Mountain; aunts, Stacy James DeVaughn of Dunbar, Michelle Davis (Ed) and Kathy Meadows (Roy) both of St. Albans, Belinda Meadows (Jeff) of Yawkey; uncles, Jimmy Meadows (Tina) of Elkview, Bobby Meadows of Leon, Roy Gibson (Tina) of Nitro, Mike and Carl Gibson, both of Cedar Grove; and a countless amount of cousins and friends that loved him dearly.

A funeral service will be held at 2 p.m. on Sunday, April 2, at Keller Funeral Home, Dunbar. Burial will follow in Asbury Cemetery, Liberty.

A visitation will be held two hours prior to the service at Keller Funeral Home, Dunbar.
