David Joe Asbury

David Joe Asbury, 64 of Poca, WV, went home to be with the Lord on July 23, 2026. He died unexpectedly, yet peacefully, at home.

David was born February 25, 1962, in Charleston, WV, to the late Meredith Eugene Asbury and Mary Jane Withrow Asbury.

He is proceeded in death by his parents, Eugene and Mary Asbury; brothers, Curtis and Junior Asbury; and sisters, Judy Withrow and Betty Workman.

He is survived by the love of his life of 40 years, Tina Marie Hunt Asbury; his daughters LaChrista Asbury (Joseph Estep II) of Hurricane, WV and Latasha Asbury of Cross Lanes, WV; his grandson, Trenton Asbury; his granddaughter, Lailah Hunter; his sisters, Elizabeth Cobb (Randy) of St. Albans, WV, and Dianna Burns (Kenneth) of St. Albans, WV, and a host of other family and friends.

David was a man of few words but had a big, loving heart and was only a phone call away.

The Asbury family would like to thank Shawn and the Poca Volunteer Fire Department. They would also like to thank Keller Funeral Home.

A funeral service will be held at 7:00 pm on Thursday, July 30, at Keller Funeral Home, Dunbar, with Pastor Jacob Burgess officiating. Entombment will be at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, July 31, in Grandview Memorial Park, Dunbar.

Family will welcome visitors two hours prior to the service on Thursday, July 30, at Keller Funeral Home, Dunbar.
