David L. Black, 63, of Dunbar, went home to be with the Lord on Tuesday, January 25, 2022.

He was born on December 25, 1958 in Charleston to the late Harry and Annie Black.

David was a truck driver and was known as U-Turn. He worked at Union Carbide for several years before retiring.

His lighthearted personality, kindness and ability to enjoy life will be remembered by all who knew him.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother, Harry Black Jr.

David is survived by his daughter, Dakisha Smith and husband Jeffery of Columbus; sister, Denise Black of Institute; niece, Chantel Black of Institute; and three grandchildren.

A funeral service will be held at 7 p.m. on Thursday, February 3, at Keller Funeral Home, Dunbar with Pastor Brad Joseph officiating.

Friends may visit one hour prior to the service at Keller Funeral Home, Dunbar.
