David Henry Pickens, 62, of Charleston, WV passed away on November 16, 2023 surrounded by family.

He was a graduate of George Washington High School.  David worked as a contractor most of his life.  He was an avid hunter who advocated for fair sportsmanship, and loved all animals.  David enjoyed all types of music and movies and was known for quoting both.  He could be found most days with a book in his hands.  He had a wonderful sense of humor and enjoyed making those around him laugh.

David is survived by his daughters, Hannah Cook (Kyle) and Bethany Pickens both of Charleston; son, Noah David Pickens of Palestine; parents, Dallas and Jo Ann Pickens of Ripley; brother, Scott (Melissa) of Ripley; along with a host if nieces, nephews, and cousins.

A memorial service will be at 5:30 p.m. on Monday, November 20 at Loudendale Community Center, 123 Selbe Ln, Charleston, WV 25304.

Arrangements are in the care of Keller Funeral Home, Dunbar.
