David R. Cole's Obituary
David R. "Oldtimer" Cole, Sr., 67, of Charleston, passed away on Sunday, August 9, 2015.
He was born on January 28, 1948 to the late Inez and Charles F. "Fred" Cole, Sr.
David was educated in Kanawha County Schools and was employed by Union Carbide for 43 years.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his daughter, Joy Cole.
David is survived by his wife, Delphia "Del" Cole; son, David R. "Doc" Cole, Jr. of Charleston; daughter, Dawnita Percyman of California, grandchildren, Daya Cole, Cole Jackson, Samantha Cole and Brooklyn Cole; great-grandchild, Mason Cole; brother, Charles F. Cole, Jr and wife, Nawana of Charleston; nephews, Patric M. Cole and Charles F. Cole, III; and a host of extended family and friends.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to St Jude's Children's Research Hospital, PO Box 1000 Dept 142, Memphis, TN 38101-9908.
Services will be held at 1 p.m. on Friday, August 14, at Keller Funeral Home, Dunbar with the Reverend Robert K. Davis officiating. Entombment will follow in Grandview Memorial Park. .
Family and friends may call two hours prior to the service on Friday at the funeral home.
