The Lord called an angel to come home. David Leon Rardon, 63, of St. Albans, passed away on Sunday, May 22, 2022.

He was born on October 2, 1958, in Charleston, to the late Edgar and Virginia Rardon.

David was a very loving brother whose presence will be with us forever. He cared deeply for his family and all those in his second family. David liked fishing, campings and outings with the Kirks. Being close to nature was his favorite. He also loved just being in his own bedroom with his TV and his loud music.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his step-mother, Betty Rardon; brothers, Hubert and Frank Rardon, Sr.; sister, Jackie Lee Rardon; grandparents, Ruby and Hubert O. Rardon and Iva and Albert Fowler; aunt and uncle, Velma Lee and Owen Pitchford; and aunt, Barbara Cantley.

David is survived by his sisters, Billie Jean Jones of Dunbar, Debra Rardon of Winfield and Wanda Boettjer of SC; along with several nieces, nephews, great-nieces, great-nephews and cousins. He is also survived by his second family, Donna and Randall Kirk; and theirs sons and families.

The family would like to give special thanks to his second family and caregivers, Donna and Randall, for all the love and special care you gave to David.

A funeral service will be held at 2 p.m. on Friday, May 27, at Keller Funeral Home,
Dunbar with Pastor Melvin Sizemore officiating. Burial will follow in Grandview Memorial Park, Dunbar.

Friends may visit one hour prior to the service at Keller Funeral Home, Dunbar.
