Obituary

David Paul Rawlings, 74, of Dunbar, passed away peacefully on Friday, May 16, 2014, at St. Francis Hospital after a long illness.

He was retired and had been employed as a driver for NAPA. David was an outdoorsman who loved camping, hunting and fishing. He loved to spend time with his grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Donald Webster and Virginia Mae Rawlings and by his brother, Donnie.

Mr. Rawlings is survived by his wife, Sally K. Rawlings; daughters, Elizabeth Ann Gibson and her husband, Mark of Hurricane and Heather Mae Rawlings of NC; brothers, Carl and Frederick Rawlings of Charleston and Arnold "Bo" Rawlings of Florida; sisters, Helen Rawlings, June Hill, Roberta Skiles and Karen Goodall all of Charleston. He is also survived by his beloved grandchildren, Ethan Gibson and Darwish and Mariam Nourredine.

A memorial service will be held at 4 p.m., Tuesday, May 20, 2014, at Keller Funeral Home, Dunbar.

Friends may call at the funeral home one hour prior to the service. At a later date, his cremains will be interred in the Donel C. Kinnard Memorial State Veterans Cemetery.
