David Wayne Rock, 35, of Charleston, a devoted husband and father, entered this world on October 20, 1972 and departed to be with the Lord on Friday, May 30, 2008.

He is survived by his wife, B. J. of Charleston; sons, Joshua Ryan of Charleston; brothers, Butch Rock and Jim Rock of Charleston; sisters, Scereda McGlauglan of Texas and Tam Milam of Charleston; nephews, Gary Milam of Charleston, Joseph Milam of South Charleston and Johnny Vannater of Dunbar; uncle, Albert Rock of New York; aunts, Mary Thomas of Culloden and Ruby King of Charleston. He is also survived by several more nephews, nieces and great nephews and nieces.

Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m., Monday, June 9, at Keller Funeral Home, Dunbar, with the Rev. Kenneth Markham officiating. Burial will follow in Grandview Memorial Park.
